Considering we were about a mile away from the river and there were power lines right in my way, I was still very pleased with how these turned out! We'll just say the power lines give the pictures an industrial look. (Click on the pictures to enlarge them. It looks much cooler!)

Okay, that is very impressive! Rob's been saying that he wants a nice camera to learn a bit of photography on. I'm thinking of getting him one for his birthday, any recommendations?
Well I think my camera is a nice one to learn on. It is a Nikon D40X. They don't sell it anymore, but the closet equivalent is the Nikon D60. You could always get the Nikon D40. It has fewer mega pixels, but it is a few hundred dollars cheaper too. I hope this helps.
